so I'm saving the rest of our videos. This is a crazy assortment. I thought I already had them all and then I found this folder full of tiny Max movies.
I know I have the cutest neices and nephews in the world!

So here are some videos from New york. The pictures may follow someday, but there are like a gazillion so I'm not sure where id start.
Right after we got to New York Max stopped saying the 14 words he was saying then fairly regularly and replaced them all with the word Belly button. My favorite thing about the word belly button is the way Max said it a little differently every time. It always started with a b sounds and then was followed by a lengthy gibberishy end. finally he settlled on the pronunciation bain-bain-bon-bon. That was literally the only word he ever said for like two months. This video is taking forever to load so here are a couple pictures.
Our apartment building in Washinton Heights
Javier's first day of work at Goldman Sachs.
Max's favorite way to pass the time. Notice hoe he is holding his puppy. This summer it was in his arms every minuyte. His little best friend. Thed puppy was an essential element for any window watching excursions.
Max got to be super man at Madame Toussauds Wax museum. they even let us video the screen instead of buyng it. thank you Madame!
After a while Max started saying some animal names again. Probably no one but me could understand what he is saying in this video but he says dog, bird, cat and kitty once.
When we were in New York this is the sound Max always made for Dogs. he loves Dogs and there are tons there, so every couple seconds walking down the street he would get so excited and shreik this sound trying to talk to the dogs.
I aways like to see Max brushing his hair with the wrong side of the brush. it gets me every time.
So we think our computer may be about to bite the dust so i'm going to upload a bunch of videos here to save them. sorry its been an awfully long time since I blogged. We have actually had internet for the past couple weeks, but I have just lost the will. Maybe this will get me going again.
Here's a bunch from Ecuador:
The day after we got there ths tiny pink chick walked in the front door from the dusty Ecudorian road so that Max could chase him around a while.
Here's one of Javier teaching Max to bite. Than you daddy.
Here are a couple of Javier playing with his brothers.
This is why Max got used to sleepimg with me in Ecuador.
Here Javier and his little brother are playing soccor on the street in front of their house.
The first time Max saw the beach:
He dug a big hole in the sand with his uncle Cristhian, until his little arms couldn't reach the bottom.
He was absolutely fearless about the ocean.
And we saw a school of dolphins really close.
Well, thats al I have time for for now. Hopefully our computer has still got a little time so i can put some of our other goood ones up soon. Much love to everyone!
We were going to have a little party for Max the Friday after his birthday. But the day after his birthday he got really sick and he wasn't feeling well at all for a few days, so we had to cancel it. poor little guy, his birthday ended up being pretty lame. on the actual day we gave him our little present and we went to a movie and bought him a little cupcake to eat but that was about it. Then like a week after his birthday we finally ate the cake I made for the party. Pretty lame. In these pictures he was still feeling kind of yucky.
This is Javier's Mom playing with Max in the water. Max loves the ocean! Everyone was supprised that he wasn't afraid, he just kicked his little legs and tried to chase the water. He was so happy!
Here Cristhian and Max were digging.
These are some pictures we took at Javier's hgh school, Colegio Nacional Olmedo. He and his brothers have told me the craziest stories about it. Like sometimes they didn't have class for a month at a time because students had taken over the school with guns!!(There is a law in Ecuador that police arent allowed to enter schools). Also Javier said that it was a common occurance for someone to bring tear gas to school so that class would be cancelled he said that he has smelled tear gas many times.
This is a different entrance
Max loves to sleep with his little bum in the air like this. Im not sure why. but its cute!
This is our nephew, little Esham. he is very affectionate. Every time I saw him he would tell me, "Caridad (i go by Caridad there because no one can say my name) , do you know that I love you sooooooo much!' He was also always trying to convince me to let him hold Max, which as you can see in the picture was probably not a good idea.I will still be posting more about Ecuador. For the current update, we are in New York city. Javier LOVES his job! And I am actually loving it too, much to my suprise. The firts week has been eventful! I spent the first two days scouring the apartment because the people we are subletting form didn't clean at all, my least favorite part of thos process was scrubbing what swear was 100 year old pee stains off of every surface in the bathroom. It took a lot of work, but I feel like everything is clean now so that is good.
On Saturday we walked around Central park, The Metropolitam museum of Art and walked down 5th avenue, and madison avenue, and Park avenue. We saw a lot of really cool things, like the PLaza Hotel, THe diamonds at Tiffany's, FAO Swartz, which I wanted to stay in all day, 2 gorgeous Cathedrals. It was a super fun day!!
We came home exhausted at about 9. Just beofre we went to bed at around midnight, Max started caughing a scary cough, so we went out un the living room where he was sleeping to check on him. He was weezing like crazy and coughing a cough that sounded like a seal bark. We were scared because it seemed like he couldn't breathe so we took him to the emergency room. We were there all night until 9 in the morning on Sunday. They said it was croup, but it was very good that we brought him. THey gave him some steroids and made him inhale some kind of Gas. That was really not a fun night. We were so worried about our poor little baby, and it was horrible to see him lyng there gasping on the hospital bed. I have to say that I am so grateful it happened now and not in Ecuador. He has been much better the last couple of days.
I have a ton more pictures to post, but I'll have to do it another day.
It is funny that I have been worrying so much about teaching Max to sleep on his own because it seems like it will alll go out the wondow here anyway. The crib Max is sleeping in just has little sides and he can just crawl over them, so I have been rocking hium to sleep in the hamock before I can lay him down. Ill post a video of him throwing himself over the edge sometime and youll understand.
Here is a pÃcture of Max playing with Javiers favorite baby toy. its a little cowboy.
This is my mother in law with three of her grandchildren. Senora Ruth is so beautiful! She is also very sweet. she loves to do things for Max and I am having a hard time getting her to let me do much to help, even with my own son! Esham and Anna fabiana are the pther kids in the picture. Esham is hillarious! He is 5 and VERY opinionated!
Just in case the video didnt work heres a picture of the pink chick.
Here is a picture pof Javier and Cristian playing soccer on the street in font of their house. It really looks like a picture from a textbook about third woprld countries. It cant capture at all the feeling here. It is so different from the united states, but I like it. everything is more layed back. The doors aren{t seeled so bugs can enter freely. Last night we found a huge trail of ginormous ants in the ki8tchenThey werfe steeling rice. The bag of rice was filled with ants and Javier just sifted them out. Today I found some ants in my lunch. I am glad that I am not as squeemish about bugs now as I used to be.
Here is a picture of Mama Estrellita, Javierñs grandma. It is crazy hot here. Most of time Max is ust wearing a shirt and last last night he just slept in his diaper.
Max just learned how to flush the toilet. I sense that our lives will never be the same again.
The other thing Max does all day long now adays is making kissy noises, or fishy faces depending on how you look at it. I love it!
This picture speaks for itself.
Here Max was playng a duet on the piano with his pretty little cousin Addy.

And last but not least is a picture from my favorite family home evening ever. Javier suggested we play "crawl tag". It was a SUPER Blast!
