The many sounds of Alfie boy

Ever since he was tiny Alfie has growled. We called him our little bear. He still growls and it always makes me laugh :)

he has also loved to shriek right from the start. When he was little it was how he cried, now it is for sure a laugh or a mischievous sound like when he’s pulling Leo’s hair.

Max taught him how to gasp and he does it now like he’s telling a joke, through a giant jack-o’-lantern 3 toothed smile and then we all laugh together.

His newest trick is the softest sweetest little slow ba…ba…ba…ba… I’m so proud and so excited for what comes next which could be… mama!

Alfie cries for 30 seconds when I’m putting him in his car seat and then he sings to himself.

Phoebe es Bella

My sweet daughter played Belle in Beauty and the. East this weekend. She was spectacular! For sure watching her do that was some of the most fun I’ve ever had :) Here are some things I want to remember:

Phoebe was always so gracious with everyone. She made so many friends and she was quick to point out the strengths of others.

I could listen to her (or any of my kids) sing all day long. There is no sound on earth I love more.

She worked so hard! While I told her,” don’t worry about it, you are ready!” She wanted to go over it again and again. Her preparation showed! She was so professional! Even without cues and props or her coactors forgetting their lines, she knew it backwards and forwards and with total investment and acting skill. She made you feel something because she acted with feeling.

I love Phoebes sass and her sweetness! She showed both in the play and they both melted her mommy.

All her siblings were so supportive! Esther watched the play 5 times! Everyone came twice and they all were very honest in telling her she was the very best and she was.

Natalie told me tonight that she felt like she could take some credit because she taught me to sing and I taught Phoebe. That made me so happy 🥰 I agree that Natalie probably had a bigger musical influence on me than anyone so if I taught Phoebe something she totally gets some credit :)

Leo broke his arm

Poor little muffin was spinning fast on the hoverboard and lost his balance. He has been incredible to be even able to operate the hoverboard at his age but there you have it.

It was really sad but also a little cute how whenever his arm moved before it was casted he would get an expression on his face of utter surprise and scream.

Once it was in a cast it felt much better and now a couple days later he is starting to enjoy the notoriety it gives him. He got to tell the story to a bunch of nice grandparent strangers at Costco and today when we pulled up for the big boys orthodontist visit his face lit up as he said, “ I bet they will ask about my cast!” Haha! He didn’t even give them a chance to. Every person he saw he told them the whole story! It was so cute and funny! Between that and putting his face right up close to  Alvin so that Alvin could pull his hair and bite him while squealing with delight We really brought some excitement to the orthodontist! I love these funny kiddos ❤️

One day Leo said: in my game this guys top hat was destroyed but the evil giant baby. All hope is lost
