Sammy is so empathetic and he loves Max like crazy! The other night I was putting him to bed and we heard Max start to cry in the next room. Sammy started pushing me away and said, "Mommy go. go. Go help Max". Usually he will put his arms around my neck and refuse to let go when I try to leave him at night. He's started calling Max, "My Max" which is pretty cute too!
Max is always calling Sammy "Our baby". A few weeks ago he told me, "I think Sammy is still a baby. At least he is still a little smaller than me?" Today he saw Sammy lying on the floor and said, "Mommy! Look how much Sammy is growing!"
Sammy's new favorite thing to yell when he's being funny is, "SMASH, SMASH!" You know, like Hulk.
Oh How I love my sweet husband! He has been so busy with work these last months and I have just been reminded over and over again how lucky I am to be married to such an amazing man! No matter how late he'll be staying up or how much work he has left to do, he is thinking about me and the boys always and making great sacrifices so that we don't feel like he isn't around. He'll be playing with the boys and cleaning the kitchen for me. On Sunday he had meetings all day long, but he took Max home teaching with him and Sammy with him to practice for his men's ensemble. Seeing the sheer joy and excitement and feeling of importance on my little boys faces when Daddy invited them to come with him was just priceless! I know they will remember those experiences all their lives! I'm a lucky woman!

Max is an expert on Angry Birds and cakes. One of my favorite netflix shows is cake boss and Max likes to watch it with me, so when he had his birthday last week, he gave me a super detailed order for his cake and stood by me the whole time, just being so darlingly particular. He wanted 2 planets on the cake and as I was making the birds he would say, "Mommy, actually the yellow angry bird is
purple in space angry birds" and "maybe you could add a stick to the top of the explosion angry bird because he should have a stick" Oh how I love that cutie!
Yesterday we were at Ikea and the boys were playing around on the carts. Javier said, "Boys I don't think that is very safe." And Max yelled back, "No, but its really really fun!" So in honor of fun (and mainly because I don't really have any logical tie in for these next few pictures) Here are some "fun" things from lately...

 |
| The acadian digger bees are back which for some reason makes me so happy |
Both of my boys are very cultured, well at least they LOVE classical music! Whenever I turn the radio to the classical station they both get so excited! Sammy will call out, "I like it!" and Max has been asking me to play him songs on the piano. He loves John Schmidt! He talks about the "waterfall song" all the time. I think Max really has a true mature appreciation for good music, and I think music is just a part of Sammy's bones. One of Max and Sammy's favorite things to do is turn on the demo songs on our piano and dance around. I LOVE watching the show! They are so funny! One song that is very emotional they like to dance while hugging each other, and one of the faster more energetic songs they dance and jump all around and throw themselves onto the couch. Its one of my favorite things!
